Culturing Needs:
www.caldwellbiofermentation.com
I believe in this company so much that I made a video for them to help them promote their product. They produce the world’s best sauerkraut as well as cultured veggie juices and a cultured vegetable starter so you can make your own cultured veggies that are successful every time. Tell them Amanda sent you!
If you are looking for a one stop shop to fulfill all of your culturing needs, this is the site! They sell kefir grains, yogurt starters, sourdough starters, kombucha scoby’s and much more. They also have great instructional videos for making cultured products.
Marilyn Kefirlady is also a great source for cultured products. She sells great water and dairy kefir grains as well as kombucha starters and a few other odds and ends. I order from her regularly.
www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com
As if WFN did not already sell so many amazing products, they now sell culture starters as well for making yogurt, kefir, cultured veggies and more. I personally use their yogurt starter to make my raw goat milk yogurt and have had great results.
Eggs:
The best eggs are ones that are found from local farmers raising their chickens on pasture and feeding organic feed. This is actually hard to find these days as more and more of the feed available is becoming contaminated with GMO grains. If you truly want to find quality eggs, you may need to ask your farmers some hard questions like, “What are you feeding your chickens? And where does your feed come from?” If you want to see if your egg adds up, check out www.Cornucopia.org and look at their egg scoring report card to see how your eggs fair. Also, generally look for eggs with dark yellow or bright orange yolks.
Fats & Oils
This is some of the best olive oil I have ever tasted. I know the owners personally. The olive oil comes from a California family farm.
Another delicious and unfiltered olive oil. When I lived in California some years ago, my roommate would buy it by the case. And I drank it out of the bottle. Yes, it is that good!
This is a well known site amongst raw foodists and is known to have high quality products. They carry raw olive oil and coconut oil as well as raw nuts, olives and other great products.
This high quality company produces some of the world’s best cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil. They also produce coconut ghee and coconut oil. I have personally taken these products for several years and can testify to the healing qualities of the cod liver oil and high vitamin butter oil. I have cooked massive amounts of food in their coconut ghee and coconut oil at the Weston Price conference and they were both great cooking fats as they have a high smoke point.
The World’s Most Beneficial Foods is the tagline of this company. They sell very high quality coconut oils, raw cocao, raw nuts, palm sugar, chlorella, vanilla beans, seaweed and much more. Check them out. Their raw coconut oil is amazing.

Meats:
Whether you prefer wild or domesticated meat, look for meat that has had a quality life and has been raised and slaughtered with respect. Wild game can be extremely nutritious as the animal has been grazing on all kinds of wild grasses and herbs. Often these animals can be very lean though so the cuts may be tougher and gamey tasting. I have enjoyed buffalo, venison, elk, moose and wild boar.
If you prefer more familiar cuts of meat, look for meat that has been pasture raised or grassfed such as grassfed beef, pasture raised chicken, turkey, lamb or pigs. The next best option is meat that is organically raised with organic grains. Pasture fed is best for ruminants as they are meant to eat grass while chickens may do better on a mixed pasture and grain diet.
Milk & Dairy:
If you have not found raw milk in your area, visit www.realmilk.com to find out where to get delicious, nourishing, unpasteurized, unhomogenized, whole milk from cows or goats that have been pasture raised in your area.
Nuts & Nut Butters (See above for sources on fats and oils)
Living Nutz is a great source for organic already soaked, sprouted and dehydrated nuts. They give a portion of their proceeds to efforts to stop the unnecessary mandate by the USDA to pasteurize almonds.
Salt & Spices:
www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com – they carry a wide array of amazing salts as well as a line of seasonings and spices.
www.mountainroseherbs.com – I love this company for the wide array of culinary and medicinal herbs and spices they carry.

They carry an extraordinary line of wild caught Alaskan seafood. I order and eat their seafood and absolutely love it! The wild salmon, ventresca (tuna belly) and sablefish are my personal favorites.
Teas & Herbs:
I love ordering herbs from this company. They have an excellent selection and provide great customer service. They are located in Eugene, Oregon.
This company is a bit more expensive than the rest, but their quality is also a cut above as well. Many of their herbs are wild crafted.

Bleeding Gums, Periodontitis and Bad Breath. I use this tooth oil and love the way it makes my mouth feel. Many people swear by this product.
Essential Oils:
Young Living has top notch essential oils you can use externally for a multitude of medicinal and culinary purposes or just to smell good.
Supplements:
This is a great resource for quality supplements. I really like their Oregano Oil, Oxy Powder, and Liver Detox. I just completed a liver gallbladder flush with their products and had great results.
Great resource for great teas and tinctures. I love the Spring Dragon Longevity Tea. They also sell the best goji berries I have ever tasted as well as some great Chinese herbal formulas.
Kitchen Equipment:
I use this powerful Vitamix blender daily. A regular blender is no match for what this blender can do. I highly recommend making the investment in this irreplaceable piece of kitchen equipment. I use it for making smoothies, sauces, soups, juices, nut butters and much more several times a day. Click on the link from my website and enjoy free shipping when you order your vitamix.
